1. Install the mod
Two commands inside Claude Code. The mod is a plugin of function hooks: it draws in a band above the prompt, in the status line, and in a side pane. Nothing else.
2. A banner rotates above the prompt
One labeled line, rotating every ~40 seconds. It steps aside when Claude Code shows a survey, and /ads pause hides it for an hour or the day.
3. Theater opens while Claude works
On a wide fullscreen terminal, a pane slides in when a turn starts and out when it ends. Narrower terminals just keep the banner.
4. One turn, one count
When a turn finishes, the mod queues one impression for the banner that was showing. Batches go out every few minutes. No code, prompts or replies are ever in them.
5. You earn half
Advertisers pay per thousand impressions. Half of that goes to the developer whose terminal showed it, paid in USDC once you pass $10 and the 30-day hold.
⏺ Plugin installed: tokenbreak@tokenbreak
⏺ Restart Claude Code to load it.

Three hooks Tokenbreak will never use.
prompt.composeChanges the system prompt. Ads would cost you tokens and could steer Claude.
session.appendSees every message in the conversation.
tool.callSees every file read, edit and shell command.
